Your voice and your text stay on your Mac

Aurator converts speech to text with Apple’s on-device speech models and cleans it up with Apple’s on-device language models. Your audio and your transcripts are never sent to us or to any server we run. We do not have a server that receives them.

Everything the app keeps, dictations, recordings, your dictionary, your coaching data, lives in one folder on your Mac under Application Support. You can back that folder up or delete it from Settings at any time.

Recordings

By default Aurator keeps the audio of each dictation so you can listen back and so the coach can measure your pace. You can switch this off in Settings, delete any single recording, or delete all of them.

What does go online

Update checks. The app periodically fetches a small file that lists the latest version, and downloads the new version only when you approve it. That request carries no personal data beyond what any web request carries.

Licensing. When you buy Aurator, the licence check contacts our payment provider to confirm your key. It sends the key, not your dictations.

This website

tryaurator.app uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. If you give us your email for release notes, we keep it only to send those notes, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
